Do not corner Monet Tejada. I cannot stress this enough. Do not back her into a position where she has no options. Because the version of Monet that comes out when she has been forced into a corner is something to behold. And Episode 7 shows us exactly that.

The Episode

Forced My Hand is one of the most intense episodes of Season 2. Everything that has been building since the premiere starts coming to a head here. The Mecca situation, the family tensions, the operation pressures, Tariq's legal situation, all of it is converging and somebody is going to have to make a move.

Monet makes hers. And it is decisive. When you force her hand she plays it in a way nobody sees coming. That is the defining characteristic of this woman and Mary plays it with complete command.

The Corner

What makes this episode so compelling is watching how Monet responds to being cornered. Most people panic. They make reactive decisions. They show their fear. Monet does none of those things. When she is most under pressure she becomes most calculated. The danger in her goes quiet and cold and precise. And that is the scariest version of Monet Tejada.

Mary delivers that coldness in a way that is physically chilling. There is a moment in this episode where you see Monet make a decision and before she says a word or takes an action you already know it is going to have consequences. That is acting at the highest level.

The Setup for the Finale Stretch

Forced My Hand is the episode where Season 2 shifts into its final gear. Everything after this point moves fast and hits hard. If you are watching for the first time buckle up.
