Lorenzo Is Killed
It happens in this episode. Lorenzo Tejada, the patriarch who has been a constant presence since Season 1, is killed by Gordo. It is sudden. It is brutal. And it hits the Tejada family like a bomb.
Now here is where it gets complicated. Monet has had a complicated relationship with Lorenzo from the very beginning. He controlled her. He undermined her. He took credit for an empire she built. She had been planning his death with Mecca before that plan fell apart. She did not love him the way she once did. But he was still the father of her children and the person who defined her world for decades.

What Lorenzo's Death Means for Monet
The title No More Second Chances speaks directly to what Lorenzo's death means. Second chances are over. The family cannot go back to what it was before. Everything shifts now: the power structure, the children's loyalties, the operation itself. And Monet has to navigate all of it while processing her own complicated feelings about a man she had already said goodbye to in her heart a long time ago.
Mary plays Monet's response to Lorenzo's death with extraordinary nuance. This is not simple grief. This is the grief of someone who had already grieved this relationship years before the physical death happened. It is relief and loss and guilt and liberation all at once. And Mary finds every shade of it.

Monet is making plays to reestablish control. And the world of the show has shifted irrevocably. This is one of the most important episodes in the entire series and Mary is extraordinary in it.

I loved the show Power/Ghost, I may have missed a season by lost track of time, my mistake and loss because it is a very good show. with MaryJ.Blige playing Monet is very exciting which makes it more interesting.
