A community of fans who love her as much as I do. And now this. An original song that captures everything this journey has meant to me.
Mary J. Blige has always used music to tell her truth. Her whole life she has poured her heart into every note, every lyric, every performance. That is the energy I wanted to bring to this song. A tribute not just to her fashion and style but to her power, her legacy, and everything she represents to those of us who have followed her career from the very beginning.

For those of you who are new here let me tell you how this all started. I created the MaryJBligeFashionBook Instagram account because I was obsessed with the way Mary J. Blige dressed in every role she played. The outfits. The jewelry. The details that most people overlooked. I wanted to document all of it in one place.
And then something happened. The more I documented her fashion the more I realized that nobody was talking about her acting career the way it deserved to be talked about. Nobody was breaking down every episode of Power Book II: Ghost. Nobody was honoring Florence Jackson from Mudbound the way she deserved. Nobody was writing about Evillene in The Wiz Live the way that performance deserved.
