Welcome to the Final Season

Season 4 is the last chapter of Power Book II: Ghost and it premiered on June 7, 2024. The show came back with a two part release strategy — the first five episodes dropped in the summer and then the final five came back in September. That mid-season break had me absolutely climbing the walls.

The premiere picks up with Tariq and Brayden scrambling to secure their own safety as Noma and the Tejadas are racing to take them out. And Monet? She is fighting for her life and fighting for another chance to do right by her children. That last part is what gets me every time. Even now, even in the final season, even after everything, she is still trying to do right by those kids.

Monet's Season 4 Mission

The Season 3 finale left Monet more powerful than ever on paper but personally more fractured than she has ever been. Dru and Diana tried to have her killed. The person she built her life around, Lorenzo, is gone. And she is entering this final season with a family that is divided, a business that needs rebuilding, and enemies on every side.

But she is Monet Tejada. And Monet Tejada does not die easy. The premiere makes that unmistakably clear from the very first scene. Mary walks back into this role like she never left it. Every choice is precise, every look communicates something beyond the words. She is extraordinary.
